TenCate Polyfelt® PGM-G 100/100: Multifunctional asphalt inlay

The certified product TenCate Polyfelt® PGM-G 100/100 is a high-strength glass filament-reinforced composite that is ideal for the economical rehabilitation of cracked pavements with a stable sub-base.

The bitumen-impregnated continuous fiber component fulfils the functions of waterproofing and stress relief, while the high-tensile glass-fiber filaments provide the reinforcement function: rain and atmospheric oxygen do not penetrate the body of the road, while at the same time TenCate Polyfelt® PGM-G has a reinforcing effect due to its high force absorption at a low elongation. Moreover, it minimizes crack propagation and reflection cracks.

The glass fiber-reinforced continuous fiber fleece is characterized by an optimized bitumen retention capacity and by a higher robustness when compared with conventional staple fiber products. In addition, PGM-G establishes a uniformly good layer adhesion between old and new road pavement. In addition, it is easy to lay and can be recycled by conventional milling.

For decades the premium product, TenCate Polyfelt® PGM G 100/100, has been used successfully worldwide. In the UK alone, several 100,000 square meters of this asphalt overlay are laid every year.
